Growing up my Dad was one of those guys that used WD40 for anything that wouldn’t move or had a squeak to it. So I grew up being one of those guys that just used it as well. If all you ever eat is hamburger helper you wont know what you are missing until you have a ribeye steak. That is how I felt when I first found out about Fluid Film.
As most of you know I spent the better part of a decade selling building supplies and working in a hardware store. Which gave me access to tons of products and experts whose brain I could pick. I first heard of Fluid Film from a co-woker who used it for a squeaky garage door roller, and I didn’t believe that it worked that good.
So I asked around and sure enough it is held in high regard by tons of professionals. It stops squeaks almost always with a single application, it does it quicker than WD40 and last much longer. WD breaks down rather quickly whereas Fluid Film sticks around for a long time. I did a video nearly a year ago where I took the squeak out of my truck door and it is still squeak free today.
Fluid Film is certainty more money than WD40 but if you are looking for a product that actually works this is the one you want. It has certainly met the Toolman Tim seal of approval after more than a decade of consistent use without letting me down. If you would like to see my TOOLTIME Review of it click the link below.
