Recently I have posted multiple times regarding the Panasonic Eneloop Batteries and how much i love them. However I haven’t’ spent any time talking about what I use to recharge them. Hence I keep getting asked it because I didn’t share it.
My go too charger for nearly two years has been the POWEREX SMART CHARGER. It has been recommended in preparedness communities and groups for a long time, and it still works and serves me well. It allows you to charge both AA and AAA batteries, up to eight at a time, in any combination. So if you have a single AAA to charge go for it. If you have 5 AAA and 2 AA it’ll do that too.
It has two settings, one for quick charge and one for deep slow charge. The deep slow charge obviously takes longer, but increases the life span of the batteries and helps keep them to full capacity.
The price has come down over the last couple of years on the POWEREX which makes it even more affordable, as there are newer upgraded models out there, however this thing is a work horse and just continues to work whenever and wherever I need it.
